Museums and galleries across Canada are increasingly having conversations about their future and exploring closure as an option. There are a multitude of reasons for museums closing, including an organization’s life cycle, COVID, and changes to funding, community needs and expectations. This frank conversation looks at some of these reasons and provide guidance on navigating these difficult conversations.
