This session uses a case study from the Textile Museum of Canada to address topics such as building active museum collections, adopting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion-informed policies and practices, and creating a welcoming space to access collections. The presentation illustrates that it is possible to rethink the way collections are presented to our audiences and communities, and hopes to spark conversations on the topic of EDI in relation to collections management.
