The Indigenous Repatriation Handbook was created after the 2017 Repatriation Symposium hosted by the Royal BC Museum and the First Peoples’ Cultural Council. The intention of this handbook is to provide support to communities and museums to plan for repatriation in British Colombia, as well as at a national and international level. The handbook includes information on historical context, organization, research practices, and how these concepts apply to institutions both in BC and beyond (i.e case study). In the appendices, samples and templates are attached for use by communities and museums, as well as a glossary and lists of further resources.
