This comprehensive report seeks to determine the level of compliance that museum policies and best practices have with UNDRIP (United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples) and hopes to provide a national baseline of support for Canadian museums. This report is broken down into sections: historical considerations, standards for museums, recommendations for museums, repatriation, collections management, engagement and partnership. This report is a response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action.
