Reconciliation Framework: The Response to the Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Taskforce

This framework sets the foundational principles to transform the Canadian archives profession in relation to Indigenous communities and memory. The content is informed by the Call to Action 701 issued by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC), and developed by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis archivists and cultural Memory Keepers. The document outlines objectives and strategies that address challenges involving: governance, professional practice, ownership, control, possession, access, arrangement and description, as well as education.
